MAGA aligned Albertans genuinely thought Trump was their best friend lmao. I would laugh so hard if it wasnt for the fact we're being hit hard by these.

Danielle Smith says Trump wants to buy our oil and we should sell him more oil than previously, even.

Trump says he doesn't need our oil and gas.

One might even draw the conclusion that they're both equally believable (and not just when it comes to oil and gas)...

So Trump wants OPEC to open the taps and flood the market with cheap oil. And said again the US doesn't need oil and gas from Alberta.

What's worse? Cheap oil or tariffs? How about both? Yikes.

Trump is emboldened more than ever right now. At least the offer to be the 51st state is still on the table, though, ha
I'm not sure it is in OPEC's interests to do that, unless US shale producers go get to carried away and need to be reigned in again. Trump doesn't always get what he wants, contrary to what some believe he is not an omnipotent god.

And this is the GUY that all of Smitty's Central Albertan followers hoped would win.....now who looks ssssooo stupid?!!!!!

They already get cheap oil from Alberta, All of ours is highly discounted.

It seems to be a complaint letter on behalf of Telus, a company no longer headquartered in Alberta, but which does still have a lot of customers here.

Telus is headquartered in BC, so maybe it should be the BC government sending this instead, assuming they agree with it.

The CRTC is a joke - telecomms competition in Canada doesn't exist. It's like saying Amazon should be allowed to operate in your town so that mom & pop shops will lower prices.

If anyone is increasing competition it is Quebecor as the fourth player, disrupting the cozy oligopoly of three which Telus has been a part of for a long time.

Again, it seems here they are just trying to support this company that moved its head office out of Alberta long ago.

An expert listed as a contributor to a pandemic review commissioned by the Alberta government has demanded his name be removed from the task force’s report recommending a stop to COVID-19 vaccines, while doctors across the country rejected the document as dangerous bunk.

John Conly, a physician and former head of the University of Calgary’s medical department, on Monday told The Globe and Mail he was not on Alberta’s COVID review panel and never consented to his name being associated with its 269-page report. Further, the Canadian Medical Association and the Alberta Medical Association issued separate statements dismissing the $2-million project as “misinformation.”
