I have a feeling that Chelsae Petrovic's career as an MLA will last about as long as Miranda Rosin's MLA career.

Really?
I understand. Most Albertans don't pay attention to the minutiae of political dealings, instead only focusing on high-level campaign slogans like "reduce crime", a front on which she is putting out very good propaganda.

Look where we sent UCP cabinet ministers and their aides… :(

Nenshi has also been pretty out of the media limelight as well, which contributes to that.

Support for both parties seem to just be the same as last election. Both the Alberta Liberals and the Alberta Party have strong numbers (5% and 3%) respectively but those aren't real tbh. You can easily transfer that percentage to the NDP come election season since the organization for those parties are dead.

And remember those prices are with curtailment. They would of been even lower had Notley not made the bold choice to limit production.

Really?
There is obviously a contradiction in this polling here now that will eventually need to be resolved one way or another.

Generally governments do not become more popular over time, so I have a feeling which way it will be resolved.

So the Premier wants a full report as quickly as possible.

“Smith also has asked the AHS internal review to also be completed as soon as possible, and have its findings delivered to her, she said.”

Because that will result in a fulsome and independent analysis and not be used to batten down the hatches re the Auditor General’s report.

And of course noone will be able to comment on the AHS report “because the matter is currently being investigated by the Auditor General”.

What’s probably really needed here is a Judicial Inquiry that can compel witnesses to testify under oath.

With the current questions and alleged corruption around Smith and UCP's handling of Healthcare - it sure seems like the government is wasting a lot of taxpayer money.

For instance, for contracts to private clinics, it is believed there is a set rate for patients to stay two nights for recovery, even though only 11 per cent stay one night, and 89 per cent go home the day of surgery. If the government is paying private clinics two nights regardless, that is a huge and wasteful payout to private clinics.

“I know that’s true, but I can’t prove it because all the contracts for these clinics have the actual money figures redacted," says Dr. Paul Parks, former head of the Alberta Medical Association. (From current Don Braid column in Herald)

And as we know, this government is making it harder and harder for info to be obtained.
