The concrete base of the facade is very impressive up close, especially stacked against the the rest of B/A or any other modern tower. What a lost art.
I like that the architects of BA don't attempt to compete with it in any way so that really stands out.

Looks like the steel is getting close to completion. The top of those shorter vertical members must be the final roof height.
Indeed that looks like the start of the mechanical floors.

Methinks BA looks alot less "stumpy" than all the renderings suggested (even the elevations).

What was wrong with the original version,i think that building with the cathedral roof would have added a nice flare to our skyline.

Agreed, that version was always my fav. The spire top would of been a nice contrast to the spire on the Canada Trust Tower.
