By no means does Ottawa's skyline compare to Vancouver's or Calgary's, but I do think it should have been given some place in the pole, at least over Edmonton/ Niagara.

I voted in this poll nearly 4 years ago and would now like to change my vote from Vancouver to Calgary.

Montreal has the best skyline in Canada imo.. better architecture than Toronto, more height consistency, and more congruency with the feel of the city.

" ...better architecture than Toronto,... " as related to the skyline. How so ?

Mississauga is continually changing, with about 20 buildings having been added since this poll started - not the least of which would be Absolute World.

Many photos in some of the development threads by Jasonzed and others, though this one really surprised me when I came across it:

I'm going with Vancouver on 100%. A modern city enveloped by misty mountains makes for a special eerie atmosphere. And the morning/evening haze engulfing the city and the river bank makes for some great photos. I swear that next time I'm in Vancouver I'll make some and post them here. I don't want to post photo by photo, so I'm linking the whole article with some great pics of Vancouver:

Anyway, I may sound like a heretic here, but I realized that I find the Toronto skyline a little bit boring. Maybe it's because I see almost every day that I don't find it special anymore. :( But I guess it began after my first trip in Europe where I fell in love with older, more historical architecture (cities like Barcelona, Madrid, Rome, Venice, Prague, Vienna).

I think Halifax is pretty nice...

Especially looking down from the Citadel:

Looking across from Woodside:

Or approaching from the Alderney ferry:

Vancouver by far... the mountains and the buildings combine for an epic skyline, much better than Toronto's skyline in my humble opinion.

Montreal. The building heights aren't spectacular, but the skyline has more variation and history than Vancouver and it trails off into high Victorian townhouse neighbourhoods that rival Brooklyn.

So much so that the movie 'Brooklyn' was filmed there :) Love Montreal, hard to beat it in terms of breadth of architecture. Nice to see newer buildings there now with some pretty interesting stuff planned.
