Re: SOCCER STADIUM OFFICIALLY NAMED...

from the photos, it looks to me like there is an awful lot of leg room compared to the ACC or the Dome or most other venues which is probably why they didn't need to go with the fold up seats.

Re: SOCCER STADIUM OFFICIALLY NAMED...

Yeah the seats look pretty good, but I guess the ultimate test is to actually sit in them.

Re: SOCCER STADIUM OFFICIALLY NAMED...

Here's a closeup of the seats...very basic but at least they have backs! Plenty of leg room which is great.

In case you didn't guess already, the holes are for rain water drainage since there will be no roof at first.

Re: SOCCER STADIUM OFFICIALLY NAMED...

The one thing I notice is the lack of armrests/particians between the seats, but the legroom and slope look pretty good, actually.

Re: SOCCER STADIUM OFFICIALLY NAMED...

...that's because you're not supposed to rest your arms during a soccer match.

^Yeah, we'll be to busy fighting, spitting, drinking and swearing ;)

Nothing like a good soccer riot.

Still can't get over they put field turf instead of grass. How are people supposed to slide to make tackles and go for the ball? Wouldn't every player have massive turf burns?

It's not a carpet. It actually does have a pretty close feel to the real thing, but I do agree that actual grass would have been preferable.
