Just out of curiosity ... whats the price per sq. foot like in Pinnacle these days ?

The place I'm looking at is about $380/sqft (557sqft incl. balcony) but it's on the 32nd floor. Not sure what the price of the units towards the bottom half are but it seems to go up in price about $1000/floor.

That's actually not too bad, because it would be about 330 if you deduct the premium per floor. 330 for a place you can move into within a few months is very reasonable in today's market.

Let us know what you decide to do.

I bought a place @ west harbour city last year ... for 310 per sq. foot, but its still 2 years away ... I have a few friends that are looking to buy these days as well so I have still kept up with the market

Hi Rusty. I'm just looking at your unit. It seems to be the 04 unit in building A. If your looking for a 1 bedroom around $210,000 to $220,000 look at Cityplace if you want a newer building.
Here is a great unit for only $212,000 with 620 sf and 9' ceilings. C898374

Or conversely if you dont mind being in an older building you can get a 2 bedroom for pretty cheap considering location.

Also, don't forget that resale units you can haggle with the owner and get him to know off a few thousand dollars from the purchase price whereas the price you buy from the developer will only go up on closing. Closing fees on new condos can run up to $10,000 in some locations so choose wisely and know what your getting in to.

circuitboy84. I'm not sure if that's a cut-and-paste from an email you received or perhaps you've confused me with someone else (Rusty?). :)

As far as the two units you mention, I've seem them both. The one at CityPlace offers no view and is on a very low floor. The one on Queen's Quay mostly faces the lake, which I'm sure most purchasers like but I'm a city view kind of guy.

And yes, the unit at Pinnacle I'm looking at is 4. Not terribly big but big enough.

Thanks for your input.

A fellow I work with bought a place in Pantages last year which he's happy in. His only issue is with helicopters landing and taking off at the hospital across the street in the middle of the night which he said took a while to get used to. His place is in the 20's and faces south, and east.
Food for thought.

Mel's police helicopter used to wake me up. What on earth could they have been searching for by flying low over prime Riverdale in the dead of night?

Silver Maples, actually.

If they were Ents, I could see it ...
