looks pretty good, i would have kept the orange but changed out the copper for solid black. The copper clashes with the orange. Overall this looks way better than most affordable housing projects.
 
So we walked right up to this the other day and the panels aren't actually flat orange. They're a metallic copper, but in various lighting they look anywhere in a range from shiny new penny to solid Edmonton Oiler orange.
I noticed that too. When I saw the pics I was surprised by how orange they looked, I remember thinking they were more of a copper look when I saw them.

At the end of the day the building isn't too bad. It's 100 times better than the empty parking lot that was there before, and even with the orange it's not terrible. Maybe the colors could've been better coordinated, but it's not bad, and also the affordable housing is good. Still a case of function over form.
 
It's not nearly as heinous in person.
