As someone else said, this road is trying to do a lot of things and will have a hard time doing any of them well.

I don't why it is so hard to design something pretty simple lmao. They already have good examples of bike lanes in Calgary. Why not copy what they do in Montgomery. Like even a lazy copy and paste would be better than this haha

More people biking and walking to the Stampede grounds = less parking revenue for the Stampede. That's my guess anyway

Stampede doesn't sell a lot of parking during 10 day event...their most lucrative lots are where the event centre is/was going. They don't really care how people get there - they just want attendees.

I hope we get some drone shots in the future. The structure is so big from the ground that it's hard to see everything!

Both the steel construction, and not having to excavate very much means this goes up super quick. They're aiming to have it mostly structurally complete in October.
