Almost sold out already. Great sign for Calgary.
The first tower looks filled, not sure about the second tower.Has Dominion not gone well for them? Looks spectacular, but that obviously isn't the whole story.
I know rents have been going up in Calgary but I don’t think they’re that high yet. Maybe they figure rents will be up in that range by the time the building is done.This place was pitching very generous rental guarantees, I believe the guarantee was $2250 on a 1 bed.
They are not, and I doubt they will be anytime very soon. The Design District is 11ave where all the galleries and furniture stores are. Some Architects and Interior Designers are located there as well.I really like this development and really don't like tearing down of a character block. Tough call.

Have to disagree. Aside from the historical part of the existing building, it houses nothing of note and does little for the vibrancy of the area. Adding a modern building with 120 units will absolutely do more for the area than a barber shop, pawn store and tattoo artist. Never been the the shisha bar, not sure if it's busy, the chicken place certainly does nothing.Are we really fawning over an out of province investor driven tower, featuring closet sized condos that will demolish one of few remaining historic blocks with multiple CRU's? At least the new renderings are honest and show the ocean of parking lots across the street where this should be built instead. Gross. This will detract from area vibrancy not add to it.
I work near here and agree. Don't mistake this block for 1st St south of 12th Ave. Adding the people to the neighborhood and the fewer but likely more pedestrian impactful CRUs should be a net positive.Aside from the historical part of the existing building, it houses nothing of note and does little for the vibrancy of the area.
