September numbers out. Up a bit from September last year, not huge, but impressive when you consider transborder was -11.4 %

Looking at the 12 month ended number, it looks like we were going to pass 20M for the first time but it doesn't add up? YTD is 14,885,303 and last year's last 3 months were 4,510,778, which total 19,396,081. Unless 12 month ended here means something different?

We probably will still pass it, but not sure if we'll hit 21M they have here.

I noticed that too. I was wondering how the 12 months year to date arrives at 21.140M? My best guesstimate is we'll be around 19.5M, still very strong considering the drop in trans-border. Without Trump and his BS, we would have a good shot at 20M..

From the yyc instagram. The new centralized screening is opening tomorrow? Would be nice to have the new machines in domestic in times for the holidays.
Looks very nice! Is it opening to the public tomorrow or completed for the testing phase? Global News is reporting this morning that 7 lanes will be open in early 26 and another two lanes the year after that.

Aw man, R.I.P. old security checkpoint B. I will never forget your always empty queue while A was rammed with WestJet flyers walking from the check-in desks straight to the closest checkpoint.

Same for C being a respite from the nightly madness occurring at the international hall's central checkpoint between 5 and 8pm.

Seems like some of it is opening tomorrow. Maybe just 2-3 lanes, while keeping A/C open.

5. What’s new at YYC: Centralized Security Screening

We’re excited to introduce our new Centralized Security Screening area (Phase 1 opens this week!) for domestic travellers. Located between doors 4 and 7 on the departures level, this area features seven new lanes, each with CATSA CT X-ray technology. That means you can keep electronics and permitted liquids (100 mL or less) in your carry-on – making security screening simpler and easier than ever.
