The photos definitely don't reflect the colours as accurately as possible. The dark ones are definitely a shade of black and the lighter panel is best described as a taupe/pewter colour.
I’m wondering if the SSP post is still showing the charcoal panels, just in different lighting than the previous pictures. This new Instagram post makes it look much lighter.
I think it's just lighting conditions as mentioned by outoftheice. Happens quite a bit especially when in the shade.
The panels remind me of the ones on Concord, where they look different under lighting conditions.
I’m surprised by how different the panels look with different lighting. I had to look at the pics a few times thinking maybe they were on different corners of the building.
My guess is the reflectivity is a factor. It’s dark in between the Simmons building and looks dark at times depending on the camera focus.
This one is now topped out with the roof poured today for the top floor. All that is left in terms of structure is for the mechanical to be installed on the eastern half of the top floor and the shrouding to be installed around it to continue the appearance of the slanted roofline. Hopefully the cladding and windows make an appearance soon.
