As of now, excavation is planned somewhere around September of this year. It's not the most concrete info, but that's the best I've gathered. They're digging down 7 stories. Deep hole. Also, they've begun work on the powerlines. My assumption is they're removing the power poles in the alleyway.

Name of the new retail in the corner unit:

I think there's still 2 or 3 empty CRU's in this building, so a food establishment is still a possibility?

There are four CRUs, and they are actually targeting Tap Rooms, Breweries, Coffee Shops, etc. according to their website.

I think it's just 1 CRU left. Can't tell yet how many CRU's they're taking up for the boutique store. In Tower 2 there will more but that's at least 3 years away from being complete.

Damn yall, why the cat fighting?😅I personally think Calgary needs more boutique stores and I don't mind spending $80 on a shirt if the quality is good (plus I'm not even a high roller). Better than that h&m crap that lasts 2 washes. Let's just be happy we're getting some unique retail, even if it's for women only.

I actually thought it would have been occupied by some medical specialists or private practitioners being that close to the hospital.

Getting us back on track, just noticed this graphic when reading about the upcoming Greater Downtown Plan. It shows an amenity level on the 40th floor along with a similar sized amenity area as the current tower on the phase 2 podium. Very nice!

I'd rather Park Central II, at 134 meters and over 500 residences, than Park Point North, at only 84 meters and ~200 residences.
