Thanks for the construction updates, I haven't been through the area in a while. These 4 projects will add over 1000 units I think, and with it probably 1500-2000 people. Hopefully that is enough to finally start filling up some of the vacant retail space along Na'a Drive

The Podium at Aiss'ka'pooma: Underground parking for new buildings going up on east side of the construction site. A little bit of a retail street is taking shape with the ground floor retail of the two buildings on the west side.

That's a crazy number of units going in there. While it's frustrating that our record population growth isn't helping get any inner city construction going, areas like Medicine Hill, West District and especially University District are unrecognizable from a few years ago.

It's great to see new subdivisions with higher density, my only concern is that's a lot of density with only two ingress/egress points, and no decent way to enter/exit the area on foot or on bike.

There is actually a third exit... on the west side of Winsport under Stoney. Winsport could be a cool, urban, sport destination but I have my doubts about whether it can get there.

Keep in mind that those are just marketing/renderings from Trinity, and not a sure thing. It would be great to see some point towers add to the density, but there is currently a land use application to allow a self storage facility (50m tall) across from the existing Seniors highrise project:

I am guessing this will be like one of those newer Bluebird self storage facilities, so could have some active retail frontage on Na'a drive, but I doubt they would apply for this land use if there was a highrise apartment planned for the site.

This has the potential to be a great area, and it’s already a nice spot.

I don’t hate the idea of them squeezing a hotel in too, maybe add a couple ped bridges over 16th from COP to Greenwich and from the area where the goodlife is to Bowridge just to make the whole area more cohesive.
