Trico's next DP has been submitted. Looks to be phase 2 of West 83rd Townhomes.

The DP drawings for Trico's West83rd Phase 2 have been posted. Essentially the exact same as phase one, the renderings in the drawings though are not as polished as the marketing material:

The two drilling rigs over on the western part of West District don't appear to be in use just yet:

But, there was a bull dozer out clearing the site for Plaza when I was on a walk today, so I am thinking we will see those rigs get put into use for Plaza soon.

So those two drilling rigs have actually set-up on the Mondrian's site, and it appears they have already started putting some piles in this past week:

This is enough for me to consider it as under construction. Updated community map here:

Some construction updates from today:
Parkside is getting closer to being complete, still a ways to go though:

There are now two drilling rigs working away at the Quarters site:

The exterior of Newberry 1 looks to be mostly complete:

While Newberry 2 has a lot more exterior finishes up than last time I went by:

And the two drilling rigs are working away at Mondrian as well:

May I know how long usually does it take to review the DP of a multi-residential development? The DP of Trico's West 83rd Phase 1 was submitted on Aug 27 and got approved on Nov 10. However, the DP of District Townhomes was submitted on Oct 13 last year but it's still under review right now. It's way over the 120-day commitment they stated on the development map site. Wondering if it's still possible to start the construction of District Townhomes in Q2. Thanks.

Often times it depends on the scale and complexity of the file, but it could also be dependent upon the applicant and how quickly they respond to comments. Perhaps in this instance, Trico Homes responded in very short order to City comments, but Truman may have not respodned as quickly.

A beautiful day for a walk through the area to get some construction updates.

First off, the pathway connection to the south is being graded in. This will be what connects the eventual Radio Park with the broader pathway systemin West Springs. You can see Parkside in the background.

Parkside is still moving along. Still some exterior work to be done, not sure how quickly they are moving on the interiors. I have heard each unit is custom, up to the buyer, so there may not be as much urgency as it will be entirely dependent on individual unit sales.

Foundation work / parkade excavation is well underway at

Newberry is really coming along. I think i read occupancy of the first building is set for June, the second one doesn't seem that far behind:

There is some site prep work for Oak & Olive now under way, as well as the grocery store. The DPs aren't finalized I think, so this isn't construction of the buildings, but grading and perhaps some utility work. Still need to demo the old church and move the sales centre as well:

Mondrian's foundation work is also moving along:

And Trico's West83rd townhomes look to have some site prep work underway as well:

The latest construction photos, the biggest update from the last set is there are now piles driven for the Plaza site, so I am calling that one under construction. They also had that hydrovac truck out, I bet getting things ready for the continuation of Broadcast Avenue and the construction of 81st Street:

Shoring and piling is all in for Mondrian, they are just finishign up the excavation.

Similar story with The Quarters, the piling rigs have been moved off site, just need to finish up the excavation:

I didn't grab up close photos of Parkside or Newberry (you can see Parkside in the last photo). Work still seems to be progressing, lots of people on site. I didn't take a photo because it didn't seem to be a whole lot more visible progress from the last set, I suspect most of the work is happening on the interior.
