Why wouldn't the TPA be on the hook for water and tax?

Likely as the transaction was between Toronto Hydro/Utilities and Captain John. And besides, the city blows so much more money on wasteful spending that this loss is tiny. Let's just get the ship gone.

Not sure that is the best idea. Part of the reason that removing it is so expensive is because it can't just be sunk. The hull is full of asbestos, and other toxins.

The jab at the Star is actually kind of funny.

I got hit by the odour as well when walking down to Sugar Beach. Isolated to Yonge slip, but really bad.

The walk past Redpath much, much nicer now that you don't have to walk on railway ties.

JUST IN: Portstoronto sells #CaptainJohn's to Marine Recycling Corp. Boat to be towed out of the harbour by the end of May.

I will believe it when I see it!
