The rumour mistakenly identified this parking garage expansion as Casa IV. There's no zoning amendment application in for this block of Yonge.

I actually like that strip of buildings fronting Yonge, but I don't think it will be long before we see a proposal here.

OT, but aside from the building housing the McDonald's / Starbucks, I can't imagine any other structures on this block fronting Yonge worth retaining, or heritage worthy. There was a rumour a while back about a large development here (either replacing this parking garage or another site near it), but whether that was bogus or not, this strip is begging for redevelopment, especially with the behemoth immediately north of it.

Surely you aren't suggesting that they demolish the Brass Rail?

Wise though? Considering road salt - one'd hope the decking and drainage can handle the melt.

From the silvery colour, it appears to be galvanized steel, so it just may have the corrosion problem licked.
