Agreed. And as good as the one in The Distillery is, it's odd that it ends 10 days prior to Christmas.

The Vic was horrible. No huge loss. The space holds so much potential though. Here's hoping at least.

Not sure if this has been posted before, but the Pizza Pizza building at the corner of Church/Wellesley is in the process of being designated a heritage building. The report is going to council on January 15th.
I'm glad to see this happen. While that building has been neglected and is falling apart, we need to do more to protect the heritage we have in the Village. That corner seems ripe for a condo development, which would really kill the vibe. Hopefully this designation will help restore the building and/or prevent some giant high-rise condo tower from going there and destroying any semblance of the past.

"kill the Vibe"... of the Pizza Pizza building? not to be rude but i think that would be OK. I would like to see it saved, and for the vibe to change a LOT.
