This rail engineering program just got announced for Ontario. https://ontariotechu.ca/programs/undergraduate/engineering/railway-engineering/index.php. You would think with the Alto HSR in the east, the probable expansion of rail in Alberta and also the urban rail transit investments happening across the country, it would be nice if U of A could open up a program for rail engineers here and NAIT could start a rail technicians program. SAIT has a Rail conductor program.

I just wish they wouldn't try to be Reinventing the wheel and get a company that knows how to do it either from Europe or Japan or China, but at least someone who can train to build and run, Etc etc..
