I walked by there yesterday night and while it looked open, I didn't see a single person in there. (not even an employee)

On my way home yesterday I noticed that the curtains were drawn and the doors were open at Black Irish.

When I went by they also had a small paper sign saying "opening soon" with an estimated opening date of May 20, for what it's worth.

With all the neighbourhood boundary discussions, Black Irish probably belongs in the Moss Park/Queen & Sherbourne thread. It may or may not open, but we can't deny it's at Queen and Sherbourne.

Aw, that's a shame. Unless it's actually called "Tim Hortans" and it's a play, in which case it's probably quickly going to become my favourite coffee shop.

So I see a new bar/restaurant has opened at 366 Queen East. Third one in less than 12 months.

This one is named somewhat ironically - White Elephant.

This new coffee shop, opposite Trinity Street seems to be moving ahead again.

I saw them building a patio behind the bar. It looks pretty good too. I still have never seen a single customer or person, inside the bar. Maybe it still hasn't opened but it looks really good inside. They did a good job on the design of this place. I hope it finds a loyal cliental.

This bar is not in Corktown, it's actually in the Moss Park neighbourhood.
