Not sure if there was a separate "Lake to Lake Route" thread here, but East Gwillimbury is planning to extend the Lake to Lake Route 1.5 km north along Yonge from the Nokiidaa Trail head to Doane Road Pedestrian Bridge.

I was along this trail last summer, it's very nice, and it should be extended further to Bradford.

The Lake to Lake Route is expected to go to Georgina instead of Bradford. However, I do agree a separate trail towards Bradford (and on to Barrie) needs to be done.

The Lake to Lake Route is expected to go to Georgina instead of Bradford. However, I do agree a separate trail towards Bradford (and on to Barrie) needs to be done.

I noticed that Simcoe County is rebuilding Yonge from Bradford to 89, with a multi-use trail beside the road, this makes an even better case for connecting this trail to Bradford.

Its currently in detailed design, that is being done by TRCA.

Work might start fall' 25, if not, then spring '26, should be done by the middle of next year, fingers crossed.

Correct me if I am wrong, but once the road is paved, that poured in place concrete curb is going fairly short. Hopefully its high enough to discourage drivers.

Is there enough people cycling in Vaughan that they need to pass each other? Maybe one day, hopefully.

I'm not sure about the exact width. The first picture has a cyclist which looks like decent passing width (Though technically they're riding on the wrong side). People could also wait for intersections if they want more room to pass, or use the grass if they're passing someone really slow. On the master plan they're also designated as local vs regional. There's also sections with additional buffer.

I'm hoping they do. Vaughan added them when building out the cycle tracks on Clark a couple years ago.
