Went to check, and the five ones right by 93 Ave were in the process of being boarded up and fenced off.

I really hope they develop the rest of their land here without delay. The pit and all the boarded up houses are sad.

(Maybe not as sad as the Tower 101 site, but still sad.)

I checked today. Nope. It's all fenced off though.

If they start building in the pit, then they can start demolishing the town houses imo.

Paul, I guess we can surmise that the demolition of these townhomes is a good omen that yes indeed they will finish the pit…..the remaining pit itself appears larger than the 2 buildings on the first developed half. I’m guessing that the pit starts construction right away along with the newer demo…..

I want to be optimistic but I too often am afraid of buildings being torn down to make way for something new, and then once the land is clear the project gets stalled or outright canceled.

My optimism with Regency went out the window with Emerald, BMO site, and then this pit sitting for two years before construction of this 6 storey began. I imagine the new residents will be looking at the other side of the hole for a few years until tenancy stabilizes. Probably a 10 year build out of where the other old town homes are. Better to be a realist with Regency than a hopeless optimist at this point.

Best to forget this one -- as there are bad 6-storeys there are also bad highrises. It will be renovated at some future date into something more desirable. For the present moment, let it go.
