The city seems to blow it out of the water when it comes to designing nice rec centers. Now if only we could apply that architectural prowess to other projects (the central library…)
There's definitely a tinge of irony in how some of the most architecturally interesting buildings constructed by the City in the past decade are all pretty hidden away from plain sight (this project, Capilano Library, EPS HQ, Borden Park Pavilion)It's funny how this building is hidden by trees when you drive by on 111 or 142, in the summer at least. Some people might not even notice it's there.
