I swear it's the first time i've heard the drive saying no standing, for i've definitely stood before too.Weird, a bunch of us definitely stood for the whole ride when I took it last in September.

Got unlucky with a particularly persnickety driver? Hope it's not some new policy that would shrink capacity.I swear it's the first time i've heard the drive saying no standing, for i've definitely stood before too.
I take the bus twice a week and haven’t heard that for a long time. About two years ago there was almost a fight when the driver said only 15 people could stand.I swear it's the first time i've heard the drive saying no standing, for i've definitely stood before too.
I agree. I have been on a bus with as many as 25 standingI’m actually honestly a little surprised those buses are able to drive on hwy 2 with passengers standing. If there ever was an incident the chances of a tragic incident are pretty high.
Yes WestJet operates the Boeing 787 fleet of planesDo they use the 787 for any American routes? I keep hoping that all this reduction in travel south will lead to a shift and more routes opening up to Europe and Asia. But I don't know much about airline logistics.
Haven't seen passenger numbers published for the 747 bus service but anecdotally it is sounding strong and doing good work to make the case for future train service.
Part of me understands that the NW extension makes sense for capturing the urban ridership in an area that's missed out on rail transport for a long time now.I honestly wonder if it's worth prioritizing an extension all the way from Ellerslie to YEG now. Allowing neighbourhoods to build around an existing LRT for years to come has a lot of advantages, along with a direct connection to the airport.
I agree a BRT could follow the future LRT alignment. When the LRT is extended to Desrochers it could run from there. Why can't we build out a BRT from the Heritage Valley stop out to YEG. By the time the BRT is done the train will be running. But as it is running from Heritage when they are done should be easier. South to 41ave then out to the highway. They just have to add another lane east. If they pave the last of the gravel road by all the logistic centres there is a light at highway 19 they could cross over at.
