@occidentalcapital there are heated shelters enclosed in clear glass on each LRT platform plus the transit centre bus stops.
I hope that opening is still expected for early 2022.
  • New heated shelters on each platform and at the Stadium Transit Centre (buses)

So we've gone from an enclosed heated platform to an outdoor platform heated only by overhead lamps (if you're lucky). How is this an improvement?
the old station was very much not enclosed and only vaguely heated lol. if you wanted to be out of the wind, you had to go down into the damp, leaky, quite-often-camped-in concourse. let's be real about what was there before.
as mentioned, there will be heated shelters on both platforms (the concrete structures on the West platform and the blueskin-clad walls on the centre platform). There are already some electrical and venting roughed in on the centre platform for the shelters. As someone who uses Stadium Station daily, the new setup is just as good, if not better, than other stations on the line.

How drab:(

Again, first rule of winter city design guidelines that we spent A LOT of money and time on.

#1. don't use grey or metal.

It's insulting to the dozens of us who contributed our time and effort towards this initiative.

Say one thing, do another.

If the renderings are any indication than we should be seeing some yellow and white used after all is said and done.

I sure hope so but am thinking the white might be an illusion and the high SRI for the roofing don't count;)

ok, ok, had to do this for Archi.

I'll be do...wn right surprised if there is anything white on this other than the roof.

^ right. Or some ETS blue? OR some green and gold for the football team that houses structure this station is named after?

Having some colour on those panels would do wonders, for exactly as Ian noted, for not looking so incredibly drab in a place where six months of the year it's pretty drab...
