Stadium Station is proof that the city should focus transit oriented development in areas that already have great amenities (I used to live there, it’s super easy to walk to the Save on Foods for groceries and accessibility to the Rec Centre will be improved by the new station design.) I don’t really understand why but Edmonton is so chronically obsessed with trying to manifest something from nothing (Fort Road, the Armature) instead of focusing on areas with intrinsic potential. I don’t even think Stadium Station has an ADP does it…? This is just happening organically.

Yes there is: Stadium Station Area Redevelopment Plan

Buddy just moved in and I was over for the Oilers game tonight. Grabbed a few pics! Solis looking place. Hoping phase 2 has more retail as well. 20211124_211550.jpg20211124_211548.jpg20211124_210206.jpg20211124_210159.jpg20211124_205550.jpg20211124_205508.jpg20211124_205415.jpg20211124_205410.jpg20211124_205313.jpg20211124_205304.jpg20211124_195256.jpg20211124_195253.jpg20211124_195148.jpg20211124_195145.jpg20211124_194756.jpg

Talked to a guy from Rohit today. They are currently finishing phase 2 of this project- and I was sorry to hear they aren't going to continue with phase 3 for a little while now.

Instead they are going to be building a similar looking project on their property in Strathcona near Whyte. And once that's finished they have another site adjacent to that they will start.

I was hoping the momentum in Stadium Yards would continue. Still, a lot has been done.

That's too bad - the phase 3 lot is so big and prominent I was really hoping it wouldn't wait too long.

@TAS do you know where their location near Whyte is located?

Rather than say phase 2 like I referenced above for this project, I should have said building 2. Buildings 1 and 2 are up. Building 3 is on hold.

In terms of Rohit's next project I was told it's the 'Church of God' site just off Whyte Avenue. I actually don't know the exact location of that.
