Thanks for that panorama, gimbal.
You've reminded me of the view I made in 2013 - also from the roof of the Harbour Commission Building.
Amazing changes, eh?

I'll say, the Royal York really cleaned up their smoke stack emissions o_O That plus a few new buildings...
This one from 1931 matches your 2013 field of view quite well.

In 1903 the waterfront and docks at the foot of Yonge St. were only a short distance from Front St.

After landfill and the new alignment of the RR tracks with an underpass at Esplanade, the former Grand Trunk/Great Western Railroad Station became a Wholesale Fruit Market.

These photos……..1930.

Love that second photo- looks like a scene out of Murdoch Mysteries. Always amazed at how impeccably clean and dapper everyone was despite the dirt, soot and dust.

Granted, I do like the color, and no pinches, but the bash is horrendous, and I would hope that he would turn down the front - frdora-like,
otherwise, it just appears to be a misshapen homburg.

I wonder if there are any 100-year-olds around today who would remember this baseball field on Danforth, N. side west of Coxwell.
