Isn't the DRL going to be Line 3? Once the Scarborough line is extended it will change to be part of Line 2, leaving Line 3 open for DRL and Line 4 staying as the Sheppard line.
Yes thats the plan

Highway 1 is much more common. Is the Queen Elizabeth Way still designated as Highway 451 for internal, administrative purposes at the Ministry of Transportation?

Technically, there's nothing that precludes Line 3 to continue operating after the Line 2 extension opens. At Scarborough Centre Line 3 is elevated and east-west and 2 will be underground and north-south.
But yes; Line 3 and all it's stations will close if the one-station Line 2 extension opens.
^Hipsters, a Beemer, green trams, and gas at 1.149 a litre.....is that a Ford-approved vision for Finch?
(yeah, some of us take renders a bit too literally, but that’s the fun )

I think it’s because Toronto’s land is worth more, so the city cannot widen the roads’ right of way enough to accommodate wider platforms and shelters. Why are the TTC's LRT stations always lacking a sheltered area? Ion, MiWay, and VIVA all have sheltered areas, yet the TTC continues planning lines without anything more than canopies.
How wide are the Viva Rapidway platforms and how wide is the ROW when both stations are facing one another on the same side of an intersection? On the Finch West Light Rail Transit, the platforms will be 3 m for side platforms and 4 m for centre platforms, wider than existing streetcar right-of-way platforms. From the EA Chapter 2: link, page 2-4.
There should be space available for platform shelters.
That's a low metric to use when even some TTC bus shelters have the next bus displays. The shelters at stops look nice compared to the joke I use everyday on Spadina. Having next train screens etc also gives more of a station feel because it means they needed some infrastructure at the station.
