I'm sure the LRVs will eventually be littered with ads anyways. Should that happen, whatever colour they are right now doesn't even matter that much. But I honestly still think there needs to be a touch of colour, grey is such a depressing colour.

I'll be interested in finding out what kinds of infill and redevelopment projects are in the pipeline, or may soon come, to the Finch West area.
The long towers on the north side of Finch between Tobermory and Sentinel could, theoretically, be redeveloped into something with a more active streetscape as opposed to the current tower-in-the-park setup with sprawling parking lots in front. The southeast corner of Finch/Driftwood could also be made into something new.
The area around the Milvan/Rumike intersection is filled with low-density, car-centric residential, as well as some empty lots. The shopping centre on Milvan just north of Finch is struggling as well. This area could be redeveloped to have quite a bit more housing, and maybe even push the commercial properties into more prominent positions on Finch and Milvan to increase foot traffic.
There's also the former Thistletown hospital, and some vacant space along Finch north of the Albion Mall. I wonder how many of these areas already have proposals that I'm not aware of?

I think if there is any proposals they would be posted on this site first, after appearing on the city's website.
I'd like to see some more development along the corridor, I'd say the Finch/Driftwood site would be hard since it is a church currently, I don't think theyd give up prime land so easily for development.
Some good tower in the park intensification for sure there is only one that happened so far in recent history at the apartments east of Finch and Jayzel, they put a bunch of rental townhouses about 15 years ago.
There is currently a proposal for the SE corner of Finch and Milvan for yet another gas station that we dont need in the area. I know the plaza beside the new tim hortons at milvan went up for sale a couple years ago, that would make a great site. Also the Finchdale mall, Albion mall, Jane and Finch mall, and the plaza on the SW corner of Finch and weston would make great sites for mixed use.

Thanks for the info! It's always nice to get some context from someone who's more familiar with the area. The Finch/Driftwood site I'm referring to, though, is the parcel south of Finch Street across from the church, behind the bus shelter. I doubt it would be any more likely to see infill, though.
