That's excellent news on both counts. Marda Loop is really coming into its own with developments like Garrison Corner, Odeon, and Avenue 33. With developments like that new 68 unit development and Infinity, it will spread the intensity of the BRZ off of just 33rd. Within the next couple decades, Marda Loop could become the new Kensington. Especially with a potential LRT/Streetcar spur to Mount Royal bringing rapid transit into the area.

Ovation et al. up by Westbrook? There are quite a few trees there. It could be the Shaganappi Golf Course.

That's a way better guess. Hmmm, I'm trying to think where else it could possibly be... you're probably right though it's probably one of the towers at Westgate Park.
