^^Very sad.

- Junes Delicatessen in Gibbard Block is closed, will be opening a different concept.
- Remedy on Jasper/103 Street is closed, not sure if permanent or renos. I can't tell, there's tarps up in the windows.

Last time I walked by (Friday night), there was still a Remedy sign that was up amongst the tarps in the windows. So I'm guessing a reno is taking shape.

The Board & Brew Cafe is temporarily closed again due to COVID.

On the coverage of PF Changs coming to Alberta:

“The only thing more depressing than trying to maintain your small independent biz during a pandemic is doing it while watching everyone & their dog get a raging hardon for yet another garbage US chain coming to town to serve you bowls of overpriced starch & commodity meat.” – Paul Shufelt, of Workshop Eatery, Woodshed Burgers, and The Greenhouse"

They're not wrong, at least about how these big chains get free media coverage, while local businesses are struggling.

Not gonna lie….we LOvE PF’s…..but yes….sad to see one of my fav restaurants of all time…”Pearl River” close its doors

Sadly not back for it this year, but here's hoping many were.

It's truly one of the best deals of any food event.

It might be nice, I don't know, but it seems like another suburban focused chain. Perhaps it is the Chinese version of East Side Marios.

I wouldn't mind to check it out, but the location is really out of my way. Too bad it wasn't some place more central. Oh wait, Chinatown is, I guess I can go there instead and it may be more authentic.
