I'll miss Beer Revolution. Ever since COVID forced us to work from home, my co-workers would meet there for retirement parties and Christmas mixers.

I look forward to seeing what will occupy the current Brewster's space in Unity Square.

Is that space big enough for a Keg? (The one that fell through a few years back?)

Or does Bearhill roll the dice and put another brewpub in there with the on-site equipment? It's too close to Campio, but they could create a new brand. (I miss Biera, but that Campio in Ritchie is packed every time I'm in the area.)

Or maybe Sabor has it already leased...

Yeah, Campio Ritchie is doing insane business. I also miss Biera (particularly and especially the brunch menu, which was the best in the city), but the Campio product is what that neighborhood really wants.

Going off memory probably pretty close for a Keg. Still would love to see them in the core but wouldn’t be surprised for them to choose something like that.

Openings
  • Malina Ukrainian Bakery is opening up a new venture in the former Credo space on 124 Street. It is called Malina Cafe & Bar, which will offer coffee by day and wine by night. It will open in October 2025 at 10350 124 Street.
  • Italian restaurant Da Cecot in Old Strathcona is now open at 8137 104 Street NW.
  • A new restaurant will take over the space vacated by Dalla on Rice Howard Way at 10166 100A Street NW. It is called Zymo, offering “European cuisine with Ukrainian character”, and will open in mid-October.
  • I did not know that a Burmese restaurant existed in the Edmonton area. Myanm’s Noodle opened earlier this year in Beaumont at 5305 Magasin Avenue.
