While the idea itself may seem “wacky”, I didn’t necessarily think it was bad based on a few concepts.

Grade separation, we all know that extending the subway to Major Mackenzie would be insanely expensive (it may be hard to fathom but from the current terminus in Vaughan, an extension to Major Mackenzie would be roughly 3/4 of the length from Sheppard Weet to VMC)

More buses can’t help a route that’s slow by external factors such as traffic. I know Jane Street traffic can get quite notorious between Rutherford and Major Mack especially in the summer months.

So then there’s ROWs, considering how the Eglinton LRT will most likely be a bust with speed and efficiency in the at grade portion, does ripping up the street and forever altering it really even worth it?

So this idea which doesn’t exactly seem too expensive would link three destinations with reliable efficiency. As the aerial tramway would not interfere with the many variables and randomness of regular traffic.
