Honestly, for all the disappointment and genuine frustration I have with this government regarding this file and others, it's nice to see this positive news. Looking at Homeward Trust's numbers, we're already at full shelter capacity. A bit more, with this 200 spread out outside the downtown area is a nice little win.![]()

Instead of blowing the windfall on “temptation goods,” such as alcohol, drugs or cigarettes, they spent it on rent, clothing and food, the study led by University of British Columbia researcher Jiaying Zhao found."
