I measured it on Google earth pro it was like 292m if I recall while other buildings were accurate to what they claim.

@hawc the drone uses a barometer for height which is not calibrated perfectly
 
Seems the staff has little interest in making the call about this. Seems they would rather leave the height at 298 metres with no known source. I tried...
 
I've just learned that upon completion, O&Y registered the building with Guinness as 'the tallest bank building in the world', for which I assume they would have had to supply some documentation. The record was set at 935 feet or 284.9m. It is unclear from what and to what Guinness measured / measures that record though.

That seems accurate to the roof, minus the mechanical penthouse. Google Earth measures that at around 286 metres - with lines up with Google Earth generally measuring a little bit above actual height.

I would say that it's pretty safe to say actual height is 291m to mechanical penthouse.

The City's shapefile has FCP at 287m so that's almost exactly Google's listing too.
