This is my general photo thread. From now on I will put all my pictures here, rather than having several thread. I will create a Table of Contents once there are enough pages to require it.

February 16th: It was a nice day, so I decided to walk around and snap some pics. I am by no means an even-close-to-professional photographer, and I have a simple 5-megapixel camera. But, I do like taking pictures, and not only of buildings, just for fun. So, without further ado, here's the city from Fort York, and of course some pics while I was getting to it =P.

There was sunken boat, which I found very strange, the sign on it read:
"Warning, this boat has been salvaged by the owner, KEEP OFF"

That's actually WestOne. N1 is behind it.

That looks like a duck.

Shouldn't this be in the photos thread?

Thanks for the pix!

Yeah, WestOne to the left and HVE to the right. The Twin Towers of Spadina, sounds good.

Some terraced building at the Music Park

Don't want to discourage yer enthusiasm you young whipper-snapper but the "some terraced building" was designed by Arthur Erickson, and you need to check the exposure settings on your camera or aim it away from the sun. But thanks for posting... at least you don't choose the most dismal weather-days to snap like some UT wannabe photags ;-)

P.S. Cannon pic = good idea.

LOL, Some terraced building, i know that sounds stupid, but I really had no idea what the name was. I really like it and it is very known. As a matter of fact, it was on the first picture of Toronto that I ever saw when I was like seven (wasn't born here).

Really?? I'm sorry, that's the first time I heard the word duck. How do you pronounce it?? [/sarcasm]

I am very aware that it's a duck, I'd like to know what kind, because it sure isn't the common loon. (At lease it doesn't "mess up" our waterfront parks like the geese)

Thanks! From the description, it says that it rarely settles on large lakes and rivers, and it prefers deep waters of channels, straits, and bays. Wonder what made them settle here, this is literally the first time I actually noticed them.

Thanks, that was very interesting, that's where the National Ballet actually rehearses?? Noone could guess standing outside the building.

Don't know the name, but you can often find them in larger numbers near the shoreline around Humber Bay Park.

Can one of the mods please change the title to:

jks's General Photo Thread

I want to change this to a general photo thread to put all my photos of the city in one place.

Thanks!
