I live at QQ and Spadina, and my girlfriend is a big duck lover (it's normal for us to have 3 or 4 dozen ducks/geese/swans in the slip in front of our building). She was curious about these guys as well so she called Ducks Unlimited and they said that they are probably Buffleheads. They only come down this far south in the winter, and this is as far south as they travel.

I think they fit the bill (pun totally intended)

Sure, I guess that's cool, but if you are focussing on specific projects it would be appreciated if you put the photos right in their respective threads.

Darkstar, thanks for changing it. If it is a specific project,I will put it in its thread as well. This is just for things that aren't specific. Also I like to take many pictures of the same place, so as not to overflow the project's thread, I'll put the best photos there, and everything here.

February 28th It was another nice day, and also the last day use my student ticket for the ROM. Thanks to 3D for suggestions, I used the beach setting to keep everything from being overexposed =P. Enjoy!

While I was waiting for the bus, a neighbouring 'commie block' looked nice through the trees:

Good ROM Visit Pics!

JKS: Good pics from your visit to the Royal Ontario Museum-and Yes - I agree that crystal would be a good shape of a building tower...LI MIKE

March 15th

The weather was perfect for the St Patrick's Day Parade!! It must've passed 10 degrees. Anyway, some current projects, and some old favourites. The photos of the actual Parade are at the bottom. Enjoy =D

The Parade started along Bloor. It was a unique opportunity to snap a pic from the centre of the street

Re the De loreans, they are appropriate I suppose, being assembled in Northern Ireland.

JKS: Happy St.Patrick's Day to you and all-now those pics...

JKS: Good St. Patrick's Day Pics from Central Toronto!
I like the pic showing the Cannabis Flag painted atop a building and that neat Yonge Street Canyon pic-by the way when were those lightpoles placed on Yonge Street? I always thought that the streetlights mounted on surrounding buildings was quite interesting. I do not remember them from my Toronto trips.

The TPD 57 Chevy and the DeLoreans are quite neat-especially seeing so many in one place. I do agree the movie "Back to the Future" made them famous but remembering the infamous rise and fall of one John DeLorean...
