I’m assuming that it is a laneway suite as the entrance is up about a foot from ground level.
 
Hey peeps! Just saw that Austin has changed its zoning to allow secondary units to be considered condo ownership. Is this novel? Seems like a good idea as it might make these units more marketable. What is the status here? For example, would this allow home owners to sell the air rights above a lot? This might create a whole new sub market.

Update on a laneway house on Dufferin. I am assuming that the applicant went through the thankless zoning process before the reforms would have allowed more density. Taken 5 November.

Are there reforms to the current bylaw rules around lane way houses?
