Many of us love to see 'street photography.'
Perhaps we will use some of the images for more 'Then & Now'.
Why not open a new string? Call it "Street Photography 1970s"

This was Leonard's response to his 1970's photo's," I know the camera was a Canon. I think it was a TL. I bought it in Quesnel BC in the summer of 1970 when I was working there. Back then I bought my film in bulk & loaded it myself. It probably was Kodak. I usually purchased 100 ASA film, but as to what type, don't recall. Of course, you are stretching me back almost 40 years". Great Idea Goldie and Mustapha about the new thread.

Well, that kills the idea of a twin-lens, 120 size film camera. Bulk loading, indeed!
In any case, the photos we've seen so far are wonderful.
We want to see more.

Aug 25 Then and Now.

Then. "1931. Yonge st. looking N from Ivor Rd. Feb 7, 1931" "Hoggs Hollow" in the distance. A charming Yonge street - one lane each way - and the radial car trackage on the left/west side of the street. The radial trackage remained buried until about 1966 when the roads department dug deeper than usual and finally removed it for good as part of a Yonge street resurfacing. I was a witness to history there. :)

Now. May 2011. The pesky small hill in the left distance of the Then photo was removed at some point in the distant past.

Now. July 2011. Those 4 narrow little windows... I'd open them up into one big one to let in more light but that's just me. :)
