I don't know if this has been done in this thread already....and I am probably violating a rule of the photo section in that I am not posting a photo here with my comment. But here goes:

I'd like to express deep appreciation to Mustapha for starting this thread. And further, to all of the contributors to this thread...THANKS!!! I have spent countless hours in here....learning about Toronto's past, of which I have been part of for 63 years now, but unaware of many things that went on around me.

I have learned more about the history of Toronto in this thread than I did in ALL of the four years I attended Jarvis Collegiate Institute (high school)(1969-1973) and 8 years of public school. (Since I got out of High school, I have had NO practical use of my learnings on ancient Greece, or the antics of Magellan, Cooke, Columbus or any of the "New world" explorers they taught about back then.) This has been awesome!

So, once again, thank you to all of those who have contributed here...Much of the stuff in this thread should be required learning in history classes in Toronto schools.

I have been following this thread for quite some time, but this is my first time posting anything!

Bell Canada Building, September 2018. Apparently the expansion and cladding were done at some point in 1969, but the original building is under there somewhere.
