Notice how it actually is 70m away from that street. It is very confusing why they pushed it away from where everyone would be walking from (intersection & bus stop).

It looks fine. It's a station in the burbs. If anything, it's a significant upgrade over the existing station (currently all open air, no station shelter, just a stretch of cement). Being able to wait for the train in a fully enclosed and heated station platform is really really important in Montreal winters...

They said it's to avoid the slight curve at the exit of the tunnel, which can be better seen here:

Still, the walking distance from the bus stops isn't nearly as bad as it will be for the Du Quartier station, which had no such excuse:

Ah Montréal winters... I am just starting to get a peek of it!!

Looking at the photo of the existing station below, the REM station is reincarnation for Canora!!. The stations looks fine indeed, no doubt. Probably at ground level, behind a cover of green, the station won't stick out as much from the surrounding neighbourhood.

The STM is able to provide occupancy levels on the Orange line because it is served entirely by AZUR trains. They are the only trains with the necessary electrical components to estimate the number of passengers on board. The information provided will include:

• Four levels of occupancy, like those used on the mobile site
• Up-to-the-minute refreshing and an AI system that accounts for ridership history implemented by STM teams
• Near-real-time estimates for each train car
• An invitation for customers to move toward the front or back of the train, when applicable

The data for the buses is real time and for the Azur trains, semi-real time due to transmission delays being longer than an interstation time wise. Thus AI was used to model the projections.
