Even if Pantalone had dropped out, there's no way all his support would have gone to George. It would have been a lot closer, but I still think Ford would have taken it.

Right now Pantalone is on TV; the reporter mentions 'are you vindicated that the strategic voting strategy has been thrown out the window?' Obviously the reporters are a little lagging behind live data.
The current results are still indicating a slight vote split.
