Sounds like a developer or two are beginning to work to assemble a few lots for an intensification of the block around the Princess, including restoration.

Very preliminary, but could be exiting if/when it happens.

But super early days.

I posted this a couple of weeks ago or so
 
I really can't see Whyte Ave, with all its older retail buildings and restrictions being a big focus for densification or redevelopment, except for in a few specific spots.

But a block or two off of Whyte is less restricted and has a lot of potential. However, I suppose new ownership may be able to revitalize some of these older buildings which could be good.
 
From a Layman’s perspective - this individual is suggesting that acquiring asserts on or around Whyte Ave is a “good idea? Would this also suggest that new builds would be encouraged so that they can be acquired by others?
