Charcling Avenue 🤮

Visualize any 'Ottawa Special' RLA/NEUF Minecraft build with a single shade and you realize that it's just the worst kind of architecture imaginable, and they try to spice it up with the wacky patterns. Why do we accept this?!?

City Council is a democratic institution...but people in this city seem too busy opposing every building over 6 stories in height to bother opposing the abysmal architecture of our unstoppable high rise boom. I would love to have a time machine to see articles from 2070 about the horror of the RLA/NEUF Duopoly that tried to destroy the urban fabric of this city in the current era.

For sure, having a gas station under a residential buildings seems like a major red flag. If they don't allow the gas meters to be inset, I doubt they would ever allow gas stations. I feel like if the two tower portions would've been completely charcoal (instead of having those top floors white), it would've been mediocre project and at least unasssuming. But those white floors really brings down the overall design. Like why in the hell would you want to imitate this project? haha
