Nothing beats the City of Light and it still feels like the biggest city in the world, sometimes, even after visiting London and New York extensively.
Paris is regarded as feminine and sensuous because of its Belle Epoque avenues and fashion industry and these romantic ideals English-speaking people have about the city, but that's a worn-out stereotype. It would be as apt to say Paris is a 'woman' as it is to say that New York is dirty and raw or London is regal or Toronto is...erm...boring!
