Scotiabank sold their tower recently and there has been no name change there. I don't think it's a common issue to worry about.

YES, what took them so long? I have a PATH video on my Youtube channel (see below) and I get numerous messages from people asking about it but also frequently, complaining about it. Many tourists want to check it out but when they do, many times they leave when they quickly get lost. It needs much better signage.

I wonder how long it will take them to change the maps after Sun Life moves down to York Street? And E&Y move to Adelaide Street? And the next time the name of Northridge Place changes (it's had about 6 names since I moved to the city)?

It's far cheaper to have printed paper and change it out every once and a while than have an electronic display and all the wiring/wireless connectivity needed to change them remotely.

Yes but imagine all the advertising money they can collect with an electronic display! :p

I'm liking what I'm seeing so far.

They should make the maps a hi def led board that is intractable. Would also allow updates to be done almost instantly.
intractable |ˌinˈtraktəb(ə)l| adjective
hard to control or deal with: intractable economic problems |intractable pain.

or maybe interactive!

sorry, but some autocorrect errors are funnier than others

autocorrect + mystery neuro problem that sends the doctor nuts does produce some funny results. I normally catch them but missed this one o_O

I walked through the PATH today for the first time in a year because of the rain/humidity and was shocked at what has been done to the Scotia Plaza concourse. It used to have beautiful flooring and tiles that matched the rest of the building:

This has been replaced with bland white hospital style flooring and tiles. I didn't have time to snap a picture but I might have to go back and take one from the same angle as the one above. Has anyone else noticed this? I don't know what they were thinking.

They went and took something that was unique, and not that outdated (in my opinion) and half-assed it (only floors and ceilings renovated to white, walls remain the same) into something sterile and forgettable. It's not quite finished yet so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt but from the renderings they've shown it doesn't look great.

Also they changed the elevators to the new destination dispatch system which seems to take much longer in the few times I've used it.
