My lucky day. I've discovered Northern Light's Achilles hoof. Your weakness is creativity and imagination. Your responses were pure drivel and I look forward to dismantling them with extreme prejudice.

Feel free to try. You have no hope.

You have almost never presented any evidence is support of positions that are, at times, incontrovertibly erroneous. Your self-assured attitude that you're right, betrays a weakness beyond correction.

I'd like to see blatantly preventable stuff non-subsidized. If you crash a motorcycle without a helmut, gorge yourself in a diabetic coma, contract cancer from smoking, destroy your liver from drinking... you're on your own. Otherwise we're there to help.

Another position not based on evidence.

Colorado...........not exactly a bastion of socialism, tried making contraception drugs free for low-income women.

They saved money........as in it cost them less than not providing that coverage, due to fewer children born to those who could not afford them, and due to fewer abortions, which are more costly that the drugs in question.

NL: And the owner of an assault weapons uses it to give away control? Is it just a purchase to compensate for sexual inadequacy? Or might be to impose their will on others by threat or intimidation? Hmmm?
Buildup: Stiff criminal and insanity checks would do it for me as a start. Imposing one's will with a gun is rather unusual.

Buildup: The Left wants to raise taxes - that is extremely controlling, since its my money they are taking.
NL: Who exactly issued the money? You? Who has the absolute authority to issue more, at will, causing devaluation and inflation, you? Hmmm, ....nope, that would be the Bank of Canada, not you. That said, I'll grant that the way society is structured you do have the illusion that its yours. But I digress. Your statement is still wrong.
Buildup: Money is both a medium of exchange and a store in value. I've received it for services rendered. If you don't think its mine, you're literally a Marxist and your comments sophistry.

NL: First off, if one were in favour of raising tax, you would have to determine which tax was being raised, to ascertain whether it applied to you. Assuming said tax increase did apply to you; and you were unable to avoid paying more in tax......... that still isn't a form of specific control any more than outlawing murder. If that's controlling so be it........but the key here is that law is general in its nature and applies to everyone equally and requires little in the way of micro-management. The state does not determine how much you make (unless your a direct employee), nor how you make it, nor what you spend on. Calling any form of tax control writ large is more than a reach.
Buildup: Anyone in a lower tax bracket knows they are net winners from higher income taxes. Transfers of wealth or property are a form of control. Marxism once again.

NL: If you're trying to suggest the left is imposing or wishes to impose broad professional quotas...........I'm not aware of many, nor a large-scale advocacy for same.
Buildup: Being uninformed is no excuse. That is exactly what is going on. Will attach something shortly, Federal govt RFPs.

NL: There is a desire to see more women in positions of senior management in professions where they dominate the middle and entry level ranks. That hardly seems unreasonable, nonetheless, I don't believe any quotas have been imposed, only a requirement to explain extreme imbalance on corporate boards; and even then, only a requirement to explain, not comply.
Buildup: The reality is fewer women want the top job (or desire to keep it), because everything else becomes secondary. Perhaps their perspective is healthier, or less ego-driven. Also, menopause hit around peak career and is often very stressful.

Buildup: The Left wants to control what I say publicly if it hurts their feelings or conflicts with their opinion. Usually by calling others Racist.
NL: Is there a government regulation limiting what you can say, outside of hate speech? I don't think so. Is there any political party, including of the left, running on changing that? Nah.
Buildup: google social media and cancel culture on the weekend, it's a big thing. To your point (omitted above) there is a Law called Bill (whatever) than can lead you to be charged for refusing to call a man with a penis a woman.

NL: Don't confuse that fact you're a troll and a provocateur, who regularly gets shamed and embarrassed for being rude and a time-waster.
Buildup: LOL, you think I'm embarrassed? I'm saying what most people are thinking. Apparanelt I'm wasting a LOT of your time. Sometimes I'm rude, often you're sanctimonious.

Buildup: The Left wants to control sexual activity, by implying rape is a common event, when in fact its rare according to young women.
NL: Kindly provide evidence to substantiate this claim. I have seen evidence presented that sexual assault is comparatively and all-to common, using the definition of any un-wanted, un-invited sexual touching. I don't find it all difficult to believe that that is commonplace. Sexual assault does not equal rape; though rape is a sexual assault. A distinction with a difference.
Buildup: how about the fact all the over-staffed rape crisis centes at Universities are not actually getting calls from living women? Therefore thy are moving the goalposts as you did in your comment to "un-wanted, un-invited sexual touching" Good Lord!! In othe words anything!

Buildup: The left wants to control and limit economic activity without pairing it with sacrifices it will entail."
NL: Says who? Provide evidence. What sacrifice? Which economic activity? No proof from you, ever. That's what makes you a troll, you make it all up on the fly.
Buildup: BUDGET DEFICITS!!!!!!!

Buildup: The Left wants to control the media.
NL: Well now.....since the media is largely controlled in this country by 3 large corporations, who have over 80% market-share vs small independents or public broadcasting........
Buildup: True, however people who enter media come from a leftist background, or are hypocritical virtue signallers who engage in 'preference falsification'. And then the subsidized CBC...

NL: Now, could you please stop posting and wasting the time of this group and this forum with your nonsense?
Buildup: spoken like a true Leftist trying unsuccessfully to control speech! Are you sure you're speaking for everyone? I won't try to de-platform you.
[/QUOTE]

I have stood to be corrected in this forum, it does happen, however rarely. But I can count the instances on one hand.

The same cannot be said for you.

Another suspect claim; how many fingers do you have on that hand LOL? I corrected you about 8 times in one post just now.
You've had a tough day. I should be dealing with our Primate now...

What exactly do the Greens think they are doing, other than handing more votes to the Liberals?

Wow again.

This Globe article is behind the paywall. I believe this piece by former Liberal Warrent Kinsella is a transcript.
#LAVSCAM SHOCKER: TRUDEAU PMO BLOCKING MOUNTIES’ OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE INVESTIGATION

There was the old saying - think of how stupid the average (median) voter is, and then realize that half are more stupid.
This can be paraphrased for today.
Think of how stupid someone was to vote Trudeau in 2015, and think how much more stupid they must be to vote Trudeau in 2019.

No surprise there, it only confirms that the Trudeau Liberals are the same Liberals from the old days of backroom talks and party patronage- but this time dressed up in a societally attractive facade.

This issue about SNC would have greater impact on the election if there was a better candidate on the Con's side along with an absence of a deeply unpopular Con premier in vote-critical Ontario. If the Con candidate knocks on my door, he/she better have a stronger pitch than SNC and Trudeau are bad and Con's tax cuts for the wealthy and their dubious trickled down Reaganomics are good.

If I have any criticism of Trudeau's handling of SNC it's in his amateur denials. He should have asked Chrétien how to direct things. If he was PM, Chrétien would have said...

"I'm protecting Canadian jobs, so I am instructing my MoJ to use the non-prosecution option. The MoJ in her role as AG has indicated that she cannot accept this, so I have asked for her resignation, and tomorrow the new MoJ will enact the non-prosecution option. It's the right thing to do, the law of the land and Parliament allows this, but if Canadians do not agree they can vote me out in the next election".

Trudeau's father would have just told the press gallery and the Opposition to f#ck off and thrown the dissenting MoJ out by their ear.

That's where I fault Trudeau, and the entire "new man" baloney we have to suffer through. I don't want a pseudo-sensitive, apologizing, uncertain and fumbling PM. I want Trudeau to stand by his actions. You want to go to the Aga Khan's private island on a government hovercraft, go for it, and be prepared to defend it, not fall back on some ethics investigator and more apologies.

Grow a pair Justin.
