Thanks for the prompt reply! Though they are cheap, those lenses are some of the crispest. I have the canon version - same deal 50mm 1.8
I got 2 L series lenses yet still the little cheapo sees a lot of action. So crisp.

Similarly, I've got a 2.8 16-28 Tokina and the Nikkor 24-70 2.8, yet I use the 50mm so often. Both zooms are enormous

I guess a 50mm 1.8 is a very simple and effective design. Makes me wonder what a Leica 50mm would be like.
