I love those Corktown streetscapes. Streetscapes in the city need more attention. The city should identify and have special designations for streetscapes of great cultural and heritage value. That's where they should focus more investment to improve the public realm. It's amazing how if you look at the images of Toronto shown to the world, the overwhelming majority are simply of the skyline. Many visitors come to Toronto and are surprised to see a city that isn't just a bunch of shiny new towers but one with interesting historical landmarks and streetscapes--the glittering modern skyline completely dominates the imagery of the city that outsiders see.

Thank you for your kind comments. There is some great photography in this thread that makes one appreciate how marvelous Toronto is. Something I am always reminded of whenever I travel and return home.
