I don't know about you, but I haven't dealt hash before (and I certainly wasn't born with a silver-spoon with crack smoking siblings and lifelong political jobs). But apparently people didn't think much when they think a good kick to the backside while voting for someone with a track record of questionable conduct wouldn't lead to that.

Populism is always a road to ruin.

True my point is we had ford...wynne ...dalton...Harris bob are

All of these people were and still deeply unpopular.

And my true point is that the failures of government eventually catches up with the parties after years in power; it is another to demonstrate self-inflicted failures right of the start.

Depends bob rae was a disaster from the start and dalton lying about no new taxes tanked his popularity fast after being sky high due to beating the Tories.

Whether it takes a few days or a few years we been hit by back to back morons leading this province.

You must have forgotten Bob Rae went into government right around a major recession, and McGuinty was reelected with a majority inspite of that health premium. It takes a special talent to take a non-issue such as license plates and turn it into a public relations nightmare.

I thought you claimed to be relatively young - what do you know about the late 80s/early 90s?

My point is not who sucks most...

Its why does this province have such bad and unpopular leaders for 3 decades now?

They found the other half of the shipment to Doug's home. Had a Chicago address on it by mistake. Doug been without one for too long (or is it "two" long?).

Human Brain Seized in Canada Post Shipment

From link.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers seize human brain in international mail at Blue Water Bridge in Port Huron last week.

On February 14, CBP officers assigned to the Area Port of Port Huron referred a Canadian mail truck that had just crossed the Blue Water Bridge for an inspection at the Centralized Examination Station, in Marysville. During this routine mail operation, a shipment manifested as an “Antique Teaching Specimen” was targeted for inspection. Upon opening the shipment, CBP officers found the package to contain a human brain specimen inside of a clear glass mason jar without any paperwork or documentation in support of its lawful entry into the United States.

The shipment which originated in Toronto, Canada was destined for Kenosha, Wisconsin.

“Individuals looking to import shipments such as this, need to remember that the Center for Disease Control and Prevention has a strict Import Permit Program that must be adhered to,” said Area Port Director Michael Fox. “This is just another great example of just one of the many things CBP officers do to protect our nation on a daily basis.”

CBP Agriculture Specialists in Port Huron are currently in contact with the CDC regarding the brain specimen pursuant to 42 CFR 71.54, import regulations for infectious biological agents, infectious substances, and vectors for final disposition of the specimen.

Bob Rae got blamed by the Harris campaign for causing a recession, that—I'm not kidding—was global and completely not caused by Rae. The Rae government used known Keynesian attempts to keep the Ontario economy afloat during said recession, with limited success.

And when the economy really took a hit (due in part to the Feds raising interest rates well above the US), there were "Rae Days"; an austerity-based attempt to save the government money without laying off public employees by forcing them to take one unpaid day off every month. It saved the province almost $2B and no one had to lose their job. And yet, it's used as a reason for why we should never vote in an NDP government again. It's insanely ridiculous that it's considered austerity in comparison to measures Ford, Harris and yes, even McGuinty put us through.

If you'd like some better information on the Rae term, have a read:

I heard Bob Rae messed up the finances giving almost anyone welfare as well.

When is the last time ontario had a good government?

Either we are cursed or we are idiots in general as our leaders are in the end one of us.
Harris would qualify.
Problem is he followed a horrendous NDP government, which force him to act quickly to restore Ontario's economy.
It's basically the same thing with Ford - following 2 terrible Liberal governments, he had little choice but make drastic changes.
Peterson was acceptable.
The last back to back good governments in Ontario - you have to go back to Robarts and Davis.

Well that is the thing, Even the Liberals in Ontario did not do as silly simple mistakes but we seen when they fucked up , they really fucked up.

Hilarious...

The Ontario government says it will eventually have to recall newly issued licence plates that are difficult to read in low light.

Progressive Conservative House leader Paul Calandra said the move will need to be made once the problem with the plates is fixed by the manufacturer, 3M Canada.

"Are the licence plates a problem? Absolutely. We procured something with 3M; we expect them to fix the problem," Calandra told reporters at Queens Park on Thursday.

"We bought something and we want them to fix it and it is obviously very, very important to us — the safety and security of Ontarians."

For the second straight day, Minister of Government and Consumer Services Lisa Thompson avoided speaking to the media after question period. On Tuesday, she repeatedly defended the plates, saying that the government "absolutely" had confidence in them.

It would be interesting to see the spec sheet for the product ordered from 3M. If they didn't supply a product as spec'd, then it's on them (although where was the sign-off?). If they supplied what was ordered because the request was faulty then it should be on the government (i.e. us). It will be interesting to see how the durability holds up.
