I remember reading years ago that the Calgary Tower is capable of supporting two more storeys on the pod section, and I believe a 90-meter spire.
 
That would....actually be epic!

How do we make this happen ?

I'd rather they tore down The Calgary Tower and replaced it with a new tower twice the height. Maybe they could disassemble the existing pod and move it somewhere in the city. They could place it on Nose Hill at the 14 Street entrance as a visitor centre

Yeah, that actually looks worse! I give building owners credit for at least trying to improve some of our uglier buildings though.

Why not some colour? A few blocks around that building are nothing but concrete grey. If you are recladding, maybe inject some colour into the neighbourhood so it isn't so bleak.
 
If you're going to spend resources recladding a building, why wouldn't you add more vision glass? I imagine those units are very dark.
 
They were going to redevelop Palliser square with two office buildings flanking the Calgary Tower on the East and West. The economy crashed before they started though.
